Job Title: Site Infrastructure Engineer (RCDD)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Site Infrastructure Engineer (RCDD) with strong experience in low-voltage design, structured cabling, network room infrastructure, and construction project delivery. The engineer will act as the technical authority for IT infrastructure projects, working with Facilities, architects, GCs, and low-voltage contractors.

This is a design, engineering, and program-delivery role—not an installation role.

Key Responsibilities
Design and specify low-voltage infrastructure for new builds, network rooms, cabling projects, and refresh initiatives.
Review architectural, electrical, and telecom drawings; provide design comments and redlines.
Develop construction documents, specifications, BOMs, ROMs, and installation standards.
Design network room layouts including racks, pathways, containment, grounding, power, and cabling.
Ensure compliance with TIA-568/569/606/607, BICSI, NEC, and local codes.
Manage and oversee low-voltage contractors, GCs, and vendors.
Prepare SOWs and review submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
Conduct site walks, document defects, and manage corrective actions and punch-list closure.
Oversee fibre/copper testing, acceptance, and project sign-off.
Manage closeout documentation, as-builts, test results, warranties, and handover.
Maintain network-room capacity for racks, ports, fibre, PDU outlets, and power.
Support lifecycle refresh and infrastructure capacity planning.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in low-voltage design, telecommunications, structured cabling, or IT construction project delivery.
RCDD certification or actively pursuing RCDD — core requirement.
Strong knowledge of TIA standards, BICSI TDMM, NEC, and local building/fire codes.
Experience reading and marking up architectural, electrical, and telecom drawings.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam.
Experience managing low-voltage subcontractors and general contractors.
Strong knowledge of network rooms, racks, containment, grounding, power, cooling, fibre, and copper infrastructure.
Strong documentation, communication, and project-management skills.
Ability to work independently in fast-paced construction environments.
Preferred
10+ years of related experience.
Ground-up construction or large campus fit-out experience.
BICSI DCDC, OSP, RTPM, or PMP certification.
Experience with labs, cleanrooms, or high-density compute environments.
Experience with DCIM/CMDB, NetBox/Nautobot, SQL, Python, or Power BI/Tableau.
Experience with large technology companies or hyperscale environments.
Success Measures
Projects delivered on schedule and according to design standards.
Accurate BOM/ROM and installed quantities.
Timely design reviews and issue resolution.
Complete testing, punch-list closure, and project documentation.
Accurate CMDB/NetBox/Nautobot updates before project handover.
